RELAX + RELEASE

Engage in a slow meditative journey designed to facilitate introspection and self-compassion as you explore physical and emotional sensations that arise in response to slowing down. In this mindful restorative class you will be guided in the use of props to soften into awareness, curiosity, and nurturing care as you explore foundational poses through a brief gentile flow followed by long holding, propped up, postures intended to release stress and invite your nervous system to calm and rebalance. Elements of restorative yoga and yin yoga will be blended to offer elements of tension and emotional release as well as deep relaxation, bringing the body and mind into a state of healing.

CARE

This trauma-informed yoga class is specifically tailored with the needs of trauma survivors in mind. We will explore gentle, trauma-sensitive movements and yoga postures (asanas) that promote grounding, strength, flexibility, and balance. The emphasis will be on creating safety and choice as you work towards a gentil and non-judgemental awareness of your body and its sensations. We will focus on using the breath as an anchor as you are invited to cultivate a sense of stability and safety within each posture, rather than achieving any specific aesthetic or goal. Instructors will provide clear instructions, modifications, and options to ensure the practice meets your individual needs and comfort levels.

 BEGIN

Walking into a yoga space for the first time can feel intimidating and overwhelming for many people, especially for those who may lean a little anxious or who may hold beliefs around yoga being for people who live in particular types of bodies. As such, we have crafted our introductory class to be welcoming and safe by running it as a series that will gently introduce you to the practice of yoga. This class is slower paced and offers ample verbal instructions and props to guide you through developing familiarity and safe alignment in foundational postures.  Come to learn, play, and grow with other new yogis in a supportive environment. All bodies are welcome.

BREATHE + FLOW

Connect breath and movement in this mindful vinyasa based class. This class begins with an opportunity to check in with your inner world through mindful movement where you will link breath and motion. This class focuses on building comfort and awareness in foundational yoga postures as you are invited to attune to sensation through accessible verbal alignment cues. Repeated sequences allow you to flow at your own pace as you attune to subtle shifts in your body and mind as you revisit each posture, explore, play, and transform. These classes are taught with instrumental music and are open to students of all levels.

BREATHE

In this introduction to meditation you will be invited to show up, slow down, and check in with your inner world and get to know parts of yourself through attunement and curiosity. Sessions will begin with mindfully attuning to your breath as you are invited to explore some simple seated movements to come in to your body and release tension and allowing for calmer exploration of your inner world through guided visualization and mindfulness meditation.
