InPowered Therapy + Yoga is committed to making our programming inclusive to everyone. We believe there is no endpoint to inclusion, and we take our responsibility for accessible programming seriously and want to ensure that anyone who wishes to participate is able to. We share the following information to help you plan for your visit.  Please contact as soon as possible if there are accommodations that will help us to make your visit as welcoming as possible. 

VENUE INFORMATION

About Our Space:

InPowered Therapy is located in a half basement of a vintage Chicago apartment complex in Lincoln Square at the corner of Lawrence and Bell Ave.  InPowered Yoga is located 2 doors east on Lawrence Ave.

  • There are 4-stairs down to enter both spaces.

  • Each space has a single-user gender non-specific restroom that is 1-step up.

  • The therapy practice has individual seating in the waiting room that is not commercial grade and one loveseat that is commercial grade with a 500lb weight capacity.

  • The yoga space has multiple seating options available including Hercules Series folding chairs, floor cushions, and yoga mats.

    • Chair details: 800lb weight capacity. Seats measure 17.5" W x 18" D.

    • We can also supply a limited number of alternative dimension seating options with a 500lb weight capacity.

PARKING

  • There is free street parking on the 2200 block of Lawrence Ave ONLY.

  • There is metered parking on the neighboring blocks of Lawrence Ave.

  • There is free street parking on Ainslie Street 1-block to the north.

  • There is no designated parking lot.

PUBLIC TRANSIT

InPowered is near the 81 Lawrence bus at the Lawrence & Oakley stop.

The Brown line stops at Western and Damen are approximately .5 miles

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

  • Due to limitations of our space, InPowered’s physical locations are not accessible to participants who are unable to maneuver 4 stairs.

    For Therapy Clients:

    • We are able to accomodate for mobility disabilities by providing virtual services.

    • We can also make arrangements with neighboring therapy practices to use a therapy room within their practice with sufficient notice.

    For Event Participants:

    • We are able to accomodate for mobility disabilities by providing virtual programming.

    • We are also open to exploring offering the event in an alternative space at on at an alternative time. *

      *This option may not always be feasible.

    • For in-person and virtual events, large print materials can be made available. These programs are provided in a format that is compatible with screen readers.

    • InPowered can provide captioning for all virtual services and events.

    • With advance notice, we can provide a text copy of presentations for attendees to follow during event programming.

    • With advance notice, we will do our best to provide an ASL Interpreter.

  • We offer multiple seating options to ensure the comfort of people living all bodies.

  • InPowered’s therapy office + yoga studio both have one single-user restroom.

  • In the spirit of our core value of Inclusion and to eliminate financial barriers to our programming, we work to offer our programming with a tiered pricing structure.
