Continuing Education Information

  • After this retreat, you will be able to:

    • Describe the basic assumptions of IFS with regard to its principles of “self” vs “parts.”

    • Determine the characteristics and role of firefighters in the system.

    • Assess the relationship between the role of protectors and exiles.

    • Name the 8 C’s associated with “Self.”

    • Demonstrate basic understanding of the IFS framework and how it applies to their own inner experience as a leader or clinician.

    • Identify parts-of-self keeping you stuck in unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns.

    • Learn how to identify when you are blended with a “Part” vs being in “Self.”

    • Be able to list 3 means of becoming present with Self to promote Self-healing and leadership.

    • Name 3 ways to utilize expressive arts therapy to externalize a “part-of-self.”

  • After this retreat, you will be able to:

    • Identify your values and assess the degree to which you are living in line with these values.

    • Apply awareness of your values to your professional + personal life through the creation of an actionable, values aligned, plan or project.

    • Identify internal roadblocks that hold you back from leading or working in desired ways.

    • Define co-regulation and discuss its importance in leadership and clinical work.

    • Identify 2 strategies to stay grounded, objective, and composed even in situations where your emotions usually want to drive.

    • Name common “parts-of-self” that arise in leadership roles and with clients and apply this to yourself.

    • Identify 3 common “Parts” that show up in employees, supervises, or clients that may trigger protective “Parts” for those in leadership roles.

    • Identify the importance of leaning into courageous conversations and giving/receiving effective feedback.

    • Describe the steps to giving and receiving challenging feedback using IFS and the Dare to Lead model.

  • After this retreat, you will be able to:

    • Discuss the effects yoga and other embodied practice have on brain function.

    • Describe how yoga can be used to build self-regulation.

    • Name 3 benefits of Yoga Nidra for mood well-being.

    • Identify 2 yogic tools for self-regulation and self-care.

    • Discuss why embodied practices and being embodied is a core component of effective leadership and clinical work.

    • Name and apply the steps involved in Tara Brach’s RAIN meditation technique.

    • Identify and solidify meaningful goals for balance and self-care through visual meditation.

  • After the in-person event, attendees will be sent a link to the course page on the CTC Training Center website, where they will need to login and complete the online evaluation. 

    IMPORTANT

    **Participants will have two weeks from the time the event ends to complete their evaluation and download the certificate. 

    After completion of the evaluation participants can download/print their certificate of completion.

    For those in partial attendance (arrived late or left early), a letter of attendance will be available in the attendee online account after completion of the evaluation. An adjusted certificate of completion reflecting partial credit will be sent within 30 days (if your board allows).
