“Trained as a social worker, I am interested in the way the systems around us affect our wellbeing and how we can live well inside of them.”

I believe that we are wounded in big and small ways in our relationships. I believe that healing these wounds must happen in relationships, as well. My goal is to help my clients make sense of what life has handed them and co-create a healing relationship as a container for growth. I offer acceptance while also challenging my clients with an eclectic blend of ACT, Internal Family Systems, DBT, mindfulness-based practices, and psychodynamic perspectives.

I am particularly experienced in working with people who struggle with disordered eating and eating disorders. I am influenced by the Health at Every Size (HAES) principles and the wisdom of activists and providers who fight sizeism and promote peaceful relationships with our bodies. I enjoy working with LGBTQ+ people and those engaged in nontraditional shapes of relationships. I also support people with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, psychosis, life transitions, and substance use.

I love working with people who are looking to make changes in their lives outside of the therapy session. I consistently use humor and curiosity as tools. I always strive to be culturally-affirming and trauma-informed. As a queer person who has experienced misunderstanding from providers, I understand that our individual experiences and identities must be embraced as they shape our contexts of harm and healing. Trained as a social worker, I am interested in the way the systems around us affect our wellbeing and how we can live well inside of them. I am continuing my specialized training in mind-body approaches including Internal Family Systems. We might be a good fit If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you where you are and challenge you.
