Join InPowered Therapy’s own Kayla Hartman and a community of people reclaiming their bodies and ending harmful cycles in the next section of our BODY FREEDOM BOOK CLUB. Together you will spend 8-weeks exploring the book Reclaiming Body Trust, which takes a social justice approach to understanding how our body acceptance is taken from us through our culture and how we can reclaim our bodies. This group will encourage members to practice changing their body image.Kayla guides you through the “narrative arc of this healing work.”
This book is for everyone of all genders who struggles in their relationship with their body, whether you are seeking extra support in eating disorder recovery, or trying to intervene on years of diet mentality. *Please note this group series is not appropriate for individuals actively continuing to seek intentional weight loss. We do not endorse the pursuit of purposeful weight loss in these groups. This group series is also not appropriate for anyone actively “in” their eating disorder who is not engaged in concurrent treatment or individual therapy. Feel free to reach out and ask if you’re wondering if this applies to you or if you have any questions.
MEET YOUR FACILITATOR
Kayla Harman
“I'm your group facilitator Kayla Hartman LSW, AM. I understand that it is important for many people to understand the background their facilitator comes from. I'm a straight-sized white, cis, queer woman. I love walking alongside all kinds of people as they overcome the restrictions placed on their lives by personal and collective body norms and expectations.”
